The key viewing figures

  • During August, people in the UK watched an average of 1 hour, 57 minutes of commercial linear in-home TV set viewing a day
  • Total linear TV set viewing (including BBC) was 2 hours, 46 minutes a day
  • The total weekly reach of linear TV for individuals remains high at 87.8%
  • ITV drama Deep Water had the month’s highest proportion of device viewership for a programme at 26.9%
  • The Great British Bake Off had its biggest audience share for an opening episode since moving to Channel 4
