Classic ads - Part 1

22 September 2015 marked 60 years of TV advertising in the UK. To celebrate Marketing Magazine gathered the industry’s best TV ads together and held an online vote to shine a light on the UK’s favourite TV ads.

Following two polls, the nation’s favourite ad of all time was Cadbury's Gorilla, while the industry picked out Guinness Surfer.

We’ve gathered both the public favourites and the industry’s top ads together in a gallery, so you can enjoy the best craft and creativity from the past 60 years. With iconic ads from each decade, it’s clear to see the emotion and fame great TV ad campaigns drive – and why TV is still the most effective medium.
