Introducing the Academy

The Thinkboxes are judged by the Thinkbox Academy: a group of over 200 luminaries from the UK advertising and marketing community, all of whom are invited to take part by Thinkbox after previously being involved in award-winning creative work for TV. So who better to judge?!

Leading the Academy is Rosie Arnold, creative partner & head of art at AMV BBDO, who is the Academy’s President. Former presidents have included Ben Priest founder & chief creative officer of adam&eveDDB, joint-presidents Craig Inglis (John Lewis) & Nick Gill (BBH), Leon Jaume (WCRS) and Simon Clift (Unilever).

Academy members are sent bi-monthly emails with a secure link to the short-listed films where they rank their favourite three ads in order – 1st to 3rd. Their collated votes set the quality standard and lead to the selection of one overall winner for each period. Their participation in the Academy encourages the highest ambition for TV advertising in the UK.

The individuals involved in winning a Thinkbox are automatically invited to join the Academy and are therefore involved in judging all subsequent Thinkbox creative awards.

There is no cost of membership but it is strictly limited to those who fulfil the entry criteria.
