About the Academy
The Thinkboxes are judged by the Thinkbox Academy; a group of over 300 luminaries from the UK advertising and marketing community, invited to take part by Thinkbox.
Academy members have previously been involved in award-winning creative work for TV.
Leon Jaume, Executive Creative Director of WCRS, and Simon Clift, Chief Marketing Officer, Unilever & Group Vice-President, Personal Care, are the Academy’s inaugural joint Presidents; two people whose personal commitment to TV creativity is indisputable. This joint presidency is designed to reflect the shared importance of both client and creative teams in producing great TV work.
Academy members are sent bi-monthly emails with a secure link to the short-listed films where they rank their favourite three ads in order. Their collated votes set the quality standard and lead to the selection of one overall winner for each period. Their participation in the Academy encourages the highest ambition for TV advertising in the UK.
The individuals involved in winning a Thinkbox are automatically invited to join the Academy and are therefore involved in judging all subsequent Thinkbox creative awards.
There is no cost of membership but it is strictly limited to those who fulfill the entry criteria.
