About The Future of Brands on TV

In this session, we got the brand, creative and media planning perspectives on the role of TV in building and sustaining brands. It examined what we know today - how TV works in the mix, forecasted the effects of television's liberating technologies on advertising effectiveness - and scrutinised the expanding opportunities for advertisers. What is the relationship between TV investment and success? What is it about TV that makes it such a powerful communications medium and is this likely to change? We also heard of a lurking fear of TV amongst media planners and a need for an ongoing programme of eduction for planners, and this from a planner.
