Turner Media Innovations announces new Sales Controller and bucks trend with team expansion

16 June 2009: Turner Media Innovations is delighted to announce it has promoted Andrew Mallandaine to the role of UK Sales Controller.  It has also created three new positions within the department to reflect the team’s recent commercial successes.

Mallandaine takes the lead role in the sales team at Turner Media Innovation, the division of Turner Broadcasting responsible for generating advertising revenue streams across all media platforms for brands including Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Cartoonito and TCM (Turner Classic Movies).  Mallandaine reports directly into Simon Cox, Vice President of Turner Media Innovations.

Two new staff have been hired in the Sponsorship & Promotions team.  Zara Hutt joins as Sponsorship & Promotions Executive and Phil Molloy as Associate Producer.  Completing the round of new recruits, Turner Media Innovations has bolstered the strength of its digital sales team with the appointment of Rachel Lewis as Interactive & Digital Sales Manager.

Previously Client Services Director, Mallandaine joined Turner Broadcasting in 1997 and working his way up in the sales team, has been instrumental in building client and agency relationships.  Turner Media Innovations is currently recruiting to fill Mallandaine’s recently vacated role.

Prior to joining Turner, Mallandaine held a number of sales posts at ITV in the 7 years he worked for the broadcaster.  He joined as a Sales Assistant and rose through the ranks to become an Account Manager at Carlton Manchester.
